Aus/NZ osu!standard Tournament 8 - Summer

The Aus/NZ osu!standard Tournament 8 - Summer (ANZT 8S) was a 1v1 double-elimination osu! tournament with a two week, double elimination group stage for Australian and New Zealand players hosted by Diony, EmeraldStar82, TheOmyNomy, Fairy Bread and Gala. It was the eleventh instalment of the Aus/NZ tourneys.

ANZT 8S was the first tournament in the ANZT series to feature automatic qualification for players of the previous iteration; ANZT 7W. This allowed the top 16 players from ANZT 7W to skip the group stage.

Ruleset

General rules

  • This is an osu! game mode tournament for Australian/New Zealand players only. Participants must have an Australian or New Zealand flag on their osu! profile.
  • Matches will be Head-to-Head with ScoreV2 as the scoring system.
  • Any harassment or abuse of a staff member or other players will result in expulsion from the tournament.
  • We maintain a blacklist for all ANZT tournaments. You will be put on this list if you:
    • Fail to show up to two of your matches without a valid excuse and/or without alerting a staff member.
    • Were blatantly rude to a staff member and/or other players.
    • Display unsportsmanlike conduct and/or anti-competitive behaviour like purposefully throwing.
    • Dropped out of a tournament because “you didn’t feel like playing anymore”.
  • If a problem occurs where rules are not clear, questions can be directed to staff members. The staff has final say regarding these situations.
  • Staff members are not allowed to sign up. The only exceptions are streamers & commentators.
  • Reschedules must be agreed on by both players, and proof must be provided.
  • All reschedules must be done at least 30 minutes before the scheduled match time.
  • All matches and reschedules will/must be scheduled for Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Match rules

  • Referees will create the lobby and invite players 10 minutes before the designated match time.
  • Players have up to ten minutes after their designated start time to move into the lobby. Failure to show will result in a forfeit.
  • If both players are absent, the match may not be rescheduled.
  • If a referee is not present, the match will be rescheduled.
  • Matches will be played with No Fail on.
  • If a player disconnects within the first quarter of a map, the map will be aborted and replayed. Any further disconnects during the match will result in a forfeit of that map.
  • Highest !roll has first warmup and the choice of either 1ˢᵗ ban and 1ˢᵗ pick or 2ⁿᵈ ban and 2ⁿᵈ pick.
  • Each player is allowed one ban. From best of 11, each player is allowed two bans. Players will alternate ban picks. There are no restrictions on which maps can be banned.
  • Each player is allowed one warmup. Warmups must not be longer than 5 minutes, must not be in the current mappool and must be submitted.
  • If players tie scores on a map, neither player gets a point and the match continues as normal.
  • If the match ends in a tie, players will play the tiebreaker. Each player must play with any of No Mod/HD/HR/HDHR.
