Qualifiers

The results of the Qualifiers can be found in this spreadsheet.

Ruleset

General rules

  • Players must be at least rank #50,000 to be eligible to join.
  • Players who currently have the Philippine flag on their profile are the only ones allowed to join the tournament.
  • Score v2 will be used.
  • No Fail (NF) is enforced for all picks.

Round overview

Qualifier stage

  • Players must sign up to one of the Qualifier lobbies provided by the hosts. Instructions will be announced after the Qualifier mappool showcase. Players may request a special lobby if needed, as long as a referee is available at the requested time.
  • There will be no warmups for all Qualifier lobbies. The mappool will be played once during a lobby, and will be played in the following order: NM1, NM2, NM3, NM4, HD1, HD2, HR1, HR2, DT1, DT2.
  • The higher scores from each player for each map will be used for seeding. Players will be ordered by overall rank, which is computed by taking the average of their rankings on each map. In case of a tie, the sum of the top scores of the tied players are taken into account instead. Sharing of scores before the results showcase is discouraged.
  • The number of players that will advance to the next stage will depend on the total number of participants.

Bracket stage

  • Players are placed into a double-elimination bracket. They comprise of the top 32 from the Qualifiers.
  • Mappool sizes and best-of format for each round are given as follows:
    • Round of 32 and Round of 16 (Best of 9): 5 NM, 3 HD/HR/DT, 1 TB
    • Quarterfinals and Semifinals (Best of 11): 5 NM, 4 HD/HR/DT, 1 TB
    • Finals and Grand Finals (Best of 13): 6 NM, 4 HD/HR/DT, 1 TB

Match rules

  • The multiplayer room will be created and invites sent to players 5–10 minutes prior to the match start time. The multiplayer rooms are named in the following format: PHNS: ({Player 1}) vs. ({Player 2})
  • If a player is more than 10 minutes late to their match, the player inside the multiplayer room will be declared the winner. If neither player appears, the player with the higher seed will be considered the winner.
  • In the early rounds, picking and banning from the same mod category is not allowed. From the Quarterfinals and onwards, banning from the same mod category is not allowed but picking from the same mod category is allowed. (This only applies to HD, HR, and DT)
  • Players are required to protect 1 map and ban 1 map in the pool, excluding the tiebreaker. Starting from Quarterfinals and onwards, players are required to ban 2 maps. Protected maps cannot be banned, and banned maps cannot be picked. The players shall use the !roll command in-game to determine the order in which maps are protected, banned, and picked. The order is as follows:
    • Player with the higher roll: first protect, first pick
    • Player with the lower roll: first ban
    • The protect phase happens first, then bans, then picks
    • From the Quarterfinals and onwards players will alternate bans based on the !roll results.
  • Each player will alternate picks based on the !roll results until a winner is determined based on the best-of format for the round. If both players are tied on match point (e.g. 4–4 score in a best-of-9), the players will play the tiebreaker map of the pool to determine the winner.
  • Players are given 2 minutes to ban/pick maps when it is their turn. Failure to do so means that the referee will ban/pick at random on behalf of the player.
  • Players are eligible to use a 2-minute tactical time-out once per match. They are only allowed to use it when it is their turn to pick. It will take into effect after the pick timer has expired.
  • If a player disconnects during a map within 30 seconds, the player must reconnect within 5 minutes and the map may be replayed. This only applies once for each player. From there onwards, if the player disconnects again at any point of the match, the match will be played out normally until the player reconnects or forfeits the remaining maps.
  • In case of disconnection but a player has submitted a local score, the player can send the replay/local score to the referee for verification.

Player conduct

In order to preserve the integrity of the tournament, all players are expected to observe proper conduct befitting a "national championship".

Improper conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Any form of toxicity towards other players, staff, or spectators.
  • Unsportsmanlike behaviour, such as purposefully throwing matches or match fixing.
  • Deliberate misconduct.
  • Deliberate stalling in matches or other actions complicating the running of the tournament.
  • Ignoring a request for a rescheduling agreement with the purpose of forcing a default from one party.

Any offense made can be grounds for disqualification from the tournament. Should there be a need, the situation may also be escalated to osu! tournament staff.
